Nigel Farage Elected UKIP Leader
The New Leader of UKIP is Nigel Farage, he was elected with 60% of the Membership vote and replaces the amiable Lord Pearson of Rannoch.
This is a great opportunity for UKIP over the next few years. Nigel is a seasoned media performer and arguably the best man to present our policies to the press. He led UKIP to 2nd place nationally in the 2009 EU Elections, defeating the Governing Labour Party into 3rd place, and winning an extra seat to Brussels.
I often have the pleasure of working with Nigel, he is both a hard worker and also knows how to play hard too! A true gentleman and with many jobs to do to help make UKIP a major force in British politics.
We also gain the youthful and working class Deputy Leader in Paul Nuttall, our North West MEP - Paul is a man I have admired for some time, and his star just continues to rise in UKIP.
There is much work to be done, and UKIP has just the right team to make it happen
